The QR will bring up a graph of the unit circle.  Gives you immediate access to those much needed trig function values!
This is my creation on Storybird!!

It was hard to think up a use that had viable pictures.  I wanted to do something on calculating slope, but I could not find the artwork to support it.  This would be fun to have a problem or two that the students could access and work - maybe even create their own and have them use the collaborative aspect!

Waiting months between uses is not a good thing!  Again, trying to remember my account name and password is the worst part.  Once I get past that, all is good.

We are back up to two cats.  No hats though.

I'll say it.  Diigo is kinda AMAZING.  Not only can I bookmark a page, I can create libraries of information and keep myself organized (no small task).  Even cooler, things won't disappear!!!!  It also makes it possible to communicate thoughts and information, rather than just a link to web page.  Highlighting and sticky notes are awesome!!!

With the adoption of Common Core Standards and the work that needs to be done to revise curriculum, this tool would be most valuable.  It would allow collaboration to occur outside of physical meetings.  Pertinent information can be shared with colleagues and "discussed".

Great Way to Remember the Quadratic Formula

Reaching students

I think that even if I use this site to merely post homework assignments, students may find it more "relevant" or user friendly than a website.  They will have the ability, I think, to ask questions of me or one another.  This type of exchange is new to those of us in the math world.  I remember spending many frustrating hours during my high school years on the phone trying to find someone who understood the assignment or how to do a problem.

Additionally, posting screen shots or videos can help students who are struggling.
